Denim Daily: Pass Me Them PRPs

"Each item in the collection is concieved with a specific purpose and
function in mind.

Before fashion, PRPS is designed to be worn and Utilized

In the pursuit of delivering perfect garments to the most discerning denim
enthusiast, no detal is overlooked.

PRPS uses African cotton combined with expert japanese construction to
create what they believe to be the finest product availible."

-From http://www.prpsgoods.com/

PRPS jeans are created by Akademiks, a New York-based clothing company founded in partnership by a former top Nike designer, Donwan Harrell. Donwan, being a denim fanatic, began the PRPS project, which is one of Donwan's biggest projects. The price of PRPS jeans begins at $250 USD a pair.

PRPS jeans are manufactured in Japan, unlike other jeans which are mostly manufactured in China. The Japanese manufacturer of the jeans uses looms from the 1960s similar to the type that were used to produce denim for Levi's. Modern looms are more efficient in the amount of material used, however, the older, classic looms produce a stronger edge to the fabric, (two reasons for the increased price in denim when older looms are used.)

Harrell says that the manufacturing process was inspired by denim worn by workers before it became popular as an everyday fashion. Harrell says that the production for one pair of jeans costs about $95+.

Morehouse vs Spelman vs Clark Atlanta

All we do in the AUC is argue.

The Clark girls argue with the Spelman Girls, and the Morehouse guys argue with the Clark guys. The thing of it is none of the schools are better than the other, each one is just different. Girls go to Clark for different reasons than they go to Spelman and the same applies to Morehouse. A lot of my friends agree that the girls do look better at Clark (on average), whether this is actually true or not can be debated but the fact remains that there are indeed more girls at Clark than at Spelman. In my opinion there are ducks everywhere you go as well as a few bad youngins, its really nothing to take up arms over.

Some say that Spelman girls are bougie and that Clark girls are more down to Earth, while I agree with some aspects of this statement and see where whoever said it was coming from, it definitley does not apply across the board. When I go to Clark there is a higher chance that if I talk to a female she'll give me the time of day as opposed to Spelman, but thats just been MY personal experience.

I think it's ridiculous that if Morehouse holds a paegent or something like that and it's open to all AUC women (even Morris Brown girls... if there are any jp jp jp) that the Spelmanites will really get upset even mad if someone from Spelman doesn't win. Something to that extent happened earlier this year and a nice young lady happened to win Ms. Something-or-other at Morehouse, those fiesty Spelman girls got so riled up that they decided to re-host their own contest and crown a winner from their school. It's things like this that give Spelman its reputation and make the realtionship with Clark so bitter. Now I know that there are people who have friends at both schools and don't agree with anything I'm saying or think that there are any problems in the AUC... (I just dont know what rock you've been living under) There are always exceptions to the rules.

As for the whole Clark vs Morehouse thing, it's all subliminal. Why do people refer to us as Morehouse Men but refer to my brothers as Clark guys or boys... Thats a problem there within itself and although I'm not offering any particular solution I just thought I would bring it up. That makes Clark MEN take the automatic defense against us dudes over here at the House when it doesn't even have to be like that. I personally feel like Morehouse Men are either loved or hated in the AUC community. Some think we are all dogs. some think we are all gay (i think that the gay population stands about 1/3 personally) and some think were the best thing to happen in the world since Adam. I really dont know how I feel about that whole situation but I try to be the guy that I think women want to see, though it doesn't always show on the weekends. =)

Kanye "King of the Dick Eaters" West..

So I guess, kanyeezyy self procalimed "Louis Vutton Don" aint that popular with the fashion world. Ol' boy tried to get into Balenciaga's fashion show in Paris and got turned the fuck down. And i felt as though kanye would do his normal thing and bitch and maybe even say Balenciaga was racist, which would have been funny or something.. But nahh 'ye felt it was necessary for him to dickeat on a whole new level.. lol.. heres his exact quote..

I understand it. I get a lot of attention and, you know, sometimes the designers don't want anything taking the focus off the show.

I just love the clothes! Lex and I are not there 2 take pictures... I don't have an album about 2 drop... my tour is sold out... I love fashion and this is one of the funniest things we can make time for! I totally love and respect any designer that won't let me come 2 there show... it's their show... they don't owe me anything...

Balenciaga(the designer who kicked you otu of his show) is one of the illest lines right now and I don't feel any type of way about not getting in! There's always a catch 22 in being a celeb ... your motives are always questioned... but only time will show my true love MY FIRST LOVE is for fashion and I appreciate just being in a position 2 afford 2 be able 2 spend a week in Paris visiting shows.(Fashion his new first love, cuz i culda sworn music was hsi first lvoe wen he was broke and dick eating on jay)

I understand that some designers don't want all that unnecessary commotion at there shows, that's what I mean by "I get a lot of attention"

and to think i used to see her everyday in middle school..lol.. those were the dayss..

It's Like Falling In Love All Over Again

As some of you may know, here at the quarterhug we like good music, but more importantly I LOVE REGINA SPEKTOR..lol.. I've seen her perform once before in L.A. and luckily I got to see her perform again in Atlanta and one of the sickest venues, the tabernacle.. Neways the night was crazy, we got in, and were the only black people in the crowd.lol. Then during the show some dude with a jimmy neutron sized dome was standing infront of me bobbing his fucking big ass head, and some couple that started off the night tlaking about star wars, were next to me hooking the whole time humming the regina spektor songs while they hooked up = true love. BUT most important of the night was Regina, she's humble, talented, and i wuld marry her just cuz of how tight she is..(thats a first) WELL.. thats all i have to say about last night.. OOO.. and the cafe 101 of Atlanta is the Landmark Diner.. good shit..
